No, I do NOT Offer Discounts on Viagara!

So the other day I logged into my hotmail account and was confused by an email reply in my inbox from one of my contacts, wondering what was new with me. Normally this would not be confusing, considering I tend to be antisocial and have not really given anyone an update on my life in about five years. Yet confusing it was, considering this was a reply to an email I had never sent. And so I came to understand that I had reached yet another memorable milestone in my adult life: my email account had been hacked.

There were several other replies in my inbox, some of which said "I don't get this link," while others said my account had been hijacked. I looked in my Sent folder, but the nasties did not show up there. I looked at all the reply messages, and all of them were replies to messages that contained a random link and/or some attachments and did not actually have a message or email body. I emailed all the people I believed were targeted, warning them, and then promptly ran my virus scanner and changed my password. And I hoped that was the end of it.

So today I went to church, and a lady at church sat down by me afterwards and said, "So, Lindsay, I got your email." She actually thought it was hilarious (and it kind of was,) because she knew right away that I would not be sending out offers for discounts on Viagara and other erectile dysfunction drugs. So apparently only some of my contacts received the link/attachments. Others had received more traditional spam, including the standard Viagara discount offers. So I had to send out another email, this time to everybody on my contact list. And I'm again hoping that this is the end of it.

But isn't it just fitting, considering my track history with luck, that the one for Viagara got sent to a lady from CHURCH, of all places?
